Designer Lanyards
These designer lanyards are hand braided using kangaroo leather imported from Australia. Each one has a different focal piece making them unique and one-of-a-kind lanyards. There are some rare and collectible focal pieces made by the late, famous metalsmith artist and bead maker, Robert Burkett. He was well known for the Japanese method of making shibuichi, an alloy of copper and silver combined to create a bronze looking metal. He worked primarily in sterling silver and shibuichi. The vintage pieces are original pieces made by Robert Burkett of Santa Fe, New Mexico and are rare. I personally bought and collected the rare, original and now vintage pieces from Robert before he passed. The others are his designs that have been recast. Some lanyards have semi-precious stone beads or unusual glass beads. No two are the same. Each is a small work of art to wear. The lanyards measure approximately 36 inches long give/take plus the whistle hook.
